CCW Information & Forms:

Concealed carry, or carrying a concealed carry weapon (CCW), is the practice of carrying a weapon (such as a handgun) in public in a concelaed manner on one's person. CCW is often practiced as a means of self defense. Following the Supreme Court's NYSRPA v. Bruen (2022) decision, all states in the United States are required to allow concealed carries of a handgun either permitessly or with a permit although it is different to obtain a permit per state. Some states only offer resident permits while some offer both non-resident and resident permits as well as some states are constituional carry (permitless).

Why do I want a CCW?

To have the ability to protect myself and my family both home and away from home including traveling through different states that have reciprocity with your CCW.

Why do I need more than one CCW?

Some states will only honor their own CCW, and they do not have any reciprocity with any other states- ie; NJ, MD, NY to name a few. Multiple CCWs will also increase the number of states you may carry in (reciprocity).

Will I have to be fingerprinted in each state I apply to?

Yes- each state requires their own fingerprinting process.

Why use Billy's Guns and Ammo?

Not only do we have 30+ years experience in firearms we are an FFL as well.

Do I need to have my own firearm to take the class?

No, if you use us and advise us we do have handguns that we can loan to you for the class, but you are responsible for the purchase of the ammunition. Keep in mind that some states ie; NJ, NY etc do require you to own one prior to obtaining a CCW from those states. Some of the most common states that we offer like Delaware, Pennsylvania, Florida, Utah, Maryland do not require you to own a firearm before obtaining a CCW. For more information on states feel free to contact us.

Is it dangerous to carry a handgun?

We will train you in all the safety and fundamentals of the handgun. We will assure that you feel comfortable and knowledgeable enough to protect yourself. If you feel you need more training we have mini classes to offer as well.

What will we learn in the class?

You will learn basic knowlege of all types of handguns, how to deescalate the situation, all the safety and use of a handgun, violent encounters and the aftermath, legal use of force, state and federal rules and regulations, home defense/home security, proper handling and storage of firearms and ammunition.

Who can obtain a handgun?

Federal law requires all individuals to be 21 years of age to purchase a handgun while some states will allow the purchase of a handgun at the age of 18. Those purchases can not be done through a gun shop (FFL) they must be purchased privately.
